Dog Handling Camps

The dog handling camps are really fun and popular so we will continue to hold one a month. The camps are facilitated by myself and Russian trainer Maxim Basyro.  The camps takes place at Hagan Dog Park. Below is a video from the camp. Max is very experienced in working with dog aggression. Max offers 10 and 20 day boot camps to get dogs over dog aggression and charges $150/day for that service. In line with my lower cost, more hands on approach, I have convinced Max to work with me and my clients to create this three hour camp to give owners the opportunity to get comfortable handling their dogs in close proximity to other people and dogs. Every camp is different. We work on leash and off. We discuss and work on problems that the particular camp participants are having with their dogs. We set up an agility course to allow the dogs to burn off any energy or frustration that might build up during the camp.  Cost for the three hour camp is $85 per dog.

Goals of the camp include:

  1. Be safe
  2. Have fun
  3. Get exercise for you and your dog
  4. Learn techniques to  control your dog in distraction situations
  5. Gain practice and confidence responding to unruly behavior
  6. Get you dog used to being around unfamiliar people and dogs
